“Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit either.”
Elizabeth Zimmerman
Quiet winter days call for cozy things to wear—and even better when they are homemade. Julia felt the itch to knit, and took up knitting 2-at-a-time socks. This magic loop method allows for the socks to grow at the same time, thus avoiding the dreaded “I’ve finished one sock, now I have to start over!” syndrome that leaves sock pairs unfinished.
Now it’s on to more knitting projects and comfy hours reading with a cup of something warm in new socks knit to fit!
These socks were knit in Stroll Glimmer Sock Lab – Nightfall Edition Night Summit using 40″ Radiant fixed circular needles. The pattern is Twilight found in 2-at-a-time Socks by Melissa Morgan-Oakes.
(Hint: 2-at-a-time socks are best for intermediate or advanced knitters. The steps can be a bit tricky the first time around, but worth working through!)
